17 Nov Westerdale Filter House
Keyland has had proposals approved for the conversion of a disused Filter House into a 3 bedroomed holiday rental accommodation. The property is located in open countryside, just south the south of the village of Westerdale near the market towns of Stokesley and Guisborough. Access is available from the public highway and the property is surrounded on three sides by open moorland.
The Filter House was formally utilised by Yorkshire Water Ltd but has since been decommissioned. The property is a detached single storey stone building. The property will have a large open plan living/dining room which leads to a large kitchen, a utility room and bathroom will be provided and the master bedroom will be provided with an ensuite.
The conversion of the building to holiday rental accommodation will add to the tourism economy in the area.
