Keyland Developments Ltd, the property trading arm of Kelda Group and sister-company to Yorkshire Water, has agreed the sale of a brownfield site with residential consent in place, to Duchy Homes. The circa 2.2 acre decommissioned reservoir site is accessed directly off Green Lane on the western edge of Scawthorpe in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Surrounded by residential development, the strategic site has lain vacant since becoming surplus to Yorkshire Water’s requirements. Keyland Developments secured planning consent from Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council to bring the redundant site back into use as a low density residential scheme to contribute to the housing needs of the local area with a high quality new development. Duchy Homes, an acclaimed Yorkshire house builder and NHBC Best House Builder of the Year in Yorkshire and North East*, will develop the site to offer high quality housing which will include four five-bedroom houses, five four-bedroom house and three detached bunglows. Work is expected to commence in May 2016 with the show home being ready for viewing in early 2017.
