Keyland launches Greetland development consultation

Keyland Developments has launched its latest community consultation on its proposed Ellistones Gate scheme at Greetland, Calderdale, with a proposal to deliver up to 230 mixed-tenure homes.

The Yorkshire-based firm is encouraging the community to get involved and have their say on its emerging masterplan for the scheme.

The site – which is already allocated in the Calderdale Local Plan as a site for delivering new homes – has been thoughtfully designed with Keyland’s Six Capitals approach to sustainable development in mind:

  • Manufactured – The human-made materials goods or assets used on site.
  • Financial – The common way in which the value is measured.
  • Social – The networks, relationships and systems that support us.
  • Natural – The natural environment and resources that people use.
  • Human – People’s wellbeing and the value they bring through experience, productivity and competencies.
  • Intellectual – The knowledge and information used, generated and shared.

Periods of engagement and consultation provide an opportunity for residents, and businesses, to help shape elements of a place and how it works for them. This is why we have created our Six Capitals approach.

We’re proud of the principles we have created for the scheme, which will deliver new homes to help address the housing crisis, provide jobs and economic growth, blue and green infrastructure, and public spaces for the community to relax and spend time in.
