Featherstone

Huntwick Grange is a residential-led mixed use scheme that is being proposed to the south of Featherstone.

Keyland are currently promoting the site in the new Wakefield Local Plan and the site is currently a mixed use allocation for 1,500 homes and 9ha of employment space. The scheme aims to deliver the new homes in a variety of different house type zones, including areas for SME house builders, Later Living, Self and Custom Build as well as national and regional house builders. Traversing the scheme will be a natural green corridor along the Went Beck which will provide amenity space and enhanced natural habitat and drainage areas. Embedded within the scheme is circa 9ha of commercial and employment areas with particular attention being given to start-up facilities, the digital economy and owner-occupier premises. The scheme will also deliver a local centre, health village and primary school and linear woodland to the southern boundary.
